We are looking for a Material Demand Planner & Buyer to manage material forecasting, purchasing, and inventory levels. The role supports smooth production flow and efficient supplier coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Forecast material needs based on production schedules and customer demand.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, safety stock, and material delivery schedules.
- Issue purchase orders for raw materials, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure prompt deliveries.
- Audit inventories regularly and reconcile with system data.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to resolve material shortages or delays.
- Use ERP/MRP systems for planning activities and generate reports for management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, engineering or related discipline.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
- 2+ years’ experience in material planning or supply chain within manufacturing.
- Excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills”.
